Old George Theriot’s Grocery Store Building Demolished
On July 21, 2017 the building located on the corner of Ruth and Cypress Streets in Sulphur, Louisiana was demolished. The building was most well-known for being the home of George Theriot’s Grocery and Feed Store, but was also the location of other businesses over the years. In recent years the property and 12,000-square-foot building was purchased by the City of Sulphur to house offices and provide additional space for Sulphur City Court as well as Calcasieu Parish Ward 4.
Below are photos of the building prior to demolition.
