A Fantastic Cookbook to Benefit a Good Cause!

Filled with recipes handed down from mother to daughter over the years, Pirate’s Pantry was written by the Junior League of Lake Charles, Louisiana. This cookbook has been around for many generations, and is a great resource for cooking Cajun and Creole dishes. It’s filled with Cajun and Creole authentic and easy to read recipes for Rouxs, File’s, Gumbos, Soups and more. Some say it’s the best!

The Junior League of Lake Charles is a charitable organization founded and run by women that is mainly focused on education. Through volunteer efforts and active leadership, the Junior League of Lake Charles helps to improve and enrich their community. They focus on many projects including HELPing Hands, Rebuilding Together, Lego Motion, Liberty Belles and many more. They contribute to the diverse needs of the Lake Charles and surrounding communities.
